中国国际问题研究基金会成立于1999年5月，是中国最有影响力的民间智库机构之一。作为开展国际问题和外交政策研究的重要平台，基金会的主要宗旨是促进对地区和全球问题进行前瞻性、战略性研究，关注范围涵盖当代政治、安全、经济、人文等各个领域；开展国内外学术交流与合作也是基金会的重要活动方向。

China Foundation for International Studies was established in Beijing in May 1999.As one of the most influential non-governmental think-tanks in China, the Foundation serves as an important platform for studies on international issues and foreign policy. Its objectives are to enhance  Chinese scholars’ and economists’ interest as well as fore-sighted and strategic studies on major international issues, promote academic exchanges and economic and cultural cooperation with research institutions both at home and abroad, and provide necessary political and economic information and policy consultation to Chinese companies interested in entering the international market.
